En GNU/Linux las compañías de hardware no aportan demasiado soporte. Tenemos drivers privativos (Aportados por dichas compañías) y drivers libres (hechos por la comunidad). Yo prefiero instalar los privativos, ya que en mi opinión “exprimen” mas el potencial de la gráfica, y si queremos jugar, creo que es la opción más acertada. Aún con los drivers privativos, las cosas no van bien del todo. Por ejemplo, en mi 6970 el ventilador siempre está a las mismas RPM, sobre el 38%, ya esté a 50º o a 80º. No se si es un problema aislado o le pasa a todo el mundo, pero he encontrado un software que me permite crear curvas para regular las RPM del ventilador en función de la temperatura, aparte de overclocking,etc (a lo MSI Afterburner o AMDOverdrive).
